Indiana Auctioneers Gather for Annual Convention

Auctioneers from across the state convened for the Indiana
Auctioneers Association (IAA) annual conference held at Crowne Plaza, Indianapolis Airport, November 7-8, 2025.

Highlights of this year’s conference included the “TEAMS” theme with education
focused on Auction TEAMS, the Indiana Champion Auctioneer Competition, the
Hall of Fame Induction, the Presidential Luncheon, and the election of the Board
of Directors.

Throughout the weekend, Auctioneers were presented with dynamic and
engaging educational seminars from industry leading Auctioneers and presenters
and gained insight from industry vendors at the annual trade show.

The Indiana Champion Auctioneer Competition crowned the 2025 Indiana Senior
Champion Auctioneer, Chad Metzger – North Manchester, and Benjamin
Herrera-Liberty, as the Junior Champion.

The highest award conveyed to an Auctioneer in Indiana is an election into the
Indiana Auctioneer’s Hall of Fame. Jack Christy, Jr. – Indianapolis was elected
to this year’s Hall of Fame class.

The IAA held their annual election of officers at that annual membership business
meeting, electing RD Schrader, Columbia City – President 2026, John Beechy,
Goshen – Vice President, newly Elected Director: Jerry Hurst, Decatur, IN
